Street Sweeping

SEMS was contracted to perform interstate, highway, and inner-city street sweeping. Larger debris is picked up by hand or shovel and put into a dump trailer that is pulled by a lead truck. After the larger debris is removed, a mechanical gutter broom street sweeper and dump truck are used to clean the remaining debris off the street. All vehicles are protected by an attenuator crash truck. Police presence is normally used depending on the particular roadway along with a truck mounted message board offering the drivers behind a warning of the work being performed ahead. All equipment and trucks used are outfitted with DOT approved warning lights and safety equipment.
