Heavy Equipment Operator (click for more info)

Office Location:  Baton Rouge or Mandeville, Louisiana

Essential Job Functions:
• Excavator, Dozer, Skid Steer, Tractor Operator experience (minimum 3 years’ experience)
• Safely load dump trucks, excavate soils, demolish buildings
• Excavate or cut to grade
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
• Maintain activity logs
• Operate assigned machine in safe and efficient manner

Foreman/Heavy Equipment Operator (click for more info)

Office Location:  Baton Rouge or Mandeville, Louisiana

The Foreman will be responsible for implementation of daily field activities and project coordination with the client.

Essential Job Functions:
• Intermediate to advanced experience on a excavators, bull dozers, skid steer and mini excavators
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to safely run projects from the field and provide clear communication with clients
• Layout by interpreting construction plans
• Multi-task and set priorities effectively
• Basic computer skills including daily applications and Microsoft
• Willingness to travel to our job sites
• Must possess a valid drivers license
• Must meet physical requirements necessary to perform job responsibilities

Environmental Construction Manager/Site Supervisor (click for more info)

Office Location:   Baton Rouge or Mandeville, Louisiana.

• Oversight of field work, planning and resource management on commercial and government assessment and remediation projects
• Ability to operate heavy equipment including but not limited to earth work and/or aerial equipment (preferred)

SEMS, Inc, is seeking an Environmental Scientist, Geologist, or Engineer to join our team as Project Manager/Environmental Scientist. The ideal candidate will be an effective manager and collaborator with 10+ years of experience. A proven technical background in multiple facets of environmental compliance and project management is preferred.

Office Location: Baton Rouge or Mandeville, Louisiana

The ideal candidate will have an interest in environmental compliance field with an emphasis on site assessment and remediation.

• Assist project manager in commercial and government assessment and remediation projects including field work, oversight, and resource management
• Assist in the design, implementation and management of various soil and groundwater investigations and remedial projects
• Assists with the preparation of environmental assessment reports (Phase I & IIs) and other reporting for remedial actions
• Record data, prepare reports, and provide analysis
• Provide compliance, permitting, and technical support in various industries
• Communicate with regulators on compliance issues and permitting
• Participate in site visits, sampling, and investigations

SEMS is seeking a full-time Environmental Technician/ Equipment Operator with  5+ years of experience.  Our company is growing and looking for qualified additions to our team.

Required skills & experience:
• Minimum of 5 years’ related work experience
• Experience with vac-truck and/or combination unit (preferred)
• Must be able to pass OSHA Basic and all necessary site-specific classes
• Must be able to pass standard drug test
• Clean driving record (MVR).
