SEMS, Inc. was contracted to conduct asbestos and lead inspections at an apartment building located in Memphis, Tennessee.
Work performed:
Bulk samples were taken from suspected asbestos-containing materials
Samples were taken from painted materials on the exterior and interior of the apartment buildings
Provide documentation of sample locations and homogeneous areas
The analysis procedure followed for asbestos determination was conducted following EPA guidelines. SEMS concluded asbestos containing materials are present in the black mastic under flooring, popcorn ceiling texture, sheetrock texture and sheetrock mud. There were no positive lead-based paint tests.
